Black Betty the bee

We found this black bee in the venetian ruins of Gramvousa. I'd never seen one before, and the colours were amazing.

Its bee hive may be somewhere near. These small, dark-colored honey bees are sometimes called the German black bee, although they occurred originally from Britain to eastern Central Europe.
